HOW DO I LOCATE AN AAU TEAM FOR MY CHILD

AAU does not have any clubs. They only have club members. These clubs join AAU in order to participate in AAU sanctioned events and to adequately insure their athletes, coaches and practice facilities. Each club sets its own policies regarding tryout, practice, fees, goals, etc. Some clubs host open tryouts, others are local teams that are hand picked by their local recreation groups, and some may not choose to have tryouts at all. AAU does not govern these clubs except when they are participating in AAU sanctioned events. Therefore, when looking for a club you should ask questions that would allow you to select a club that meets your own needs and expectations.

AAU clubs do not report their tryout schedule to the GA AAU office. Therefore, finding a club may be somewhat of a chore that will require contacting clubs in your area and making inquires about their program and what age groups they might be offering.

Georgia AAU Scholarship Awards

Georgia AAU is proud to announce the establishment of four

$500 scholarships to be awarded each year to four high school graduates to be used for higher education.

Coaches must make nominations by May 3, 2008.

Coaches, let us know about your outstanding graduating seniors so that Georgia AAU can honor them for their achievements. These first annual Scholarship Awards will be awarded at the Georgia AAU Annual Meeting on June 8, 2008.

Step-by-Step process

to declare your athlete/club.

This will ensure that your athlete/s will be correctly declared for the

2007 AAU Region 3B Meet.

Declarations will be open on Tuesday through Thursday, June 12-14, 2007
Completion deadline is June 14, 2007 at 12:00 Midnight

All Clubs must state whether to declare all athletes by checking the box (to select all) or you must list the athletes that will not declare. Forms must be signed.

After completing your declarations, a coach must send the

completed declaration form by FAX to 770-322-6988 or email your completed form to Trackphitracktc@aol.com by the June 14, 2007 deadline date.

Entry fees are $17 per athlete and $17 per athlete for multi-events

Please mail your ENTRY FEE payment to (certified funds or money order only): All money must be received by close of business on Tuesday, June 19th.
A $2.00 late fee per athlete will be added to all entries received after the cutoff.
