2015 Betty Lowe Memorial Citizenship Award
Georgia AAU will award a total of
$5000 to student-athletes in 2015.
Awards will be given to those that have participated in AAU events
and have shown
strong citizenship characteristics in their community. Individual
awards will range
from $250 to $1,000 and are intended to assist the student with

2014 GA AAU Annual District
The Georgia District of the AAU held its Bi-Annual
Meeting on May 18, 2014.
District meetings serve as a way to inform, educate,
communicate and help grow the AAU.
Every four years meetings must include elections to
chose District Officers and Sport Directors.
We appreciate everyone that attended and participated in
the election process.

Bryant has not only been a great asset to the
largest sport in the District, Boys Basketball,
but has also helped to educate others in the District on
the use of Social Media to grow all sports in the AAU.

2014 AAU Diving
On Thursday, July 24, at the same venue where
the 1996 Olympic Games were held on the Georgia Tech Campus,
Opening Ceremonies were held for the 2014 AAU Diving National
As the Governor for GA AAU, I had the pleasure to meet with the
Aquatics National Sport Chair, Lewis Fellinger,
and members of his staff. I was given the opportunity of saying a
few brief words of welcome to the athletes.
This event was the largest AAU Diving National Championship that has
ever been held by the AAU.

different sports and those that participate in them.
There is a unifying thing about all athletes, regardless of the
sport. They may chose different sports, sometimes
by choice or sometimes because that is what they are exposed to, but
they all share the same desire to improve and compete.
